Best places to stay in the world:
1. Mushroom farm, Malawi (cob house) (2014, 35$/2p) The top of the world terras that glues the stunningly beautiful cobhouse to the 'bathroom with a top choice view' over the Niyka plateau and Chitimba bay was our latest gem discovery. This place is the best eco-lodge we ever visited.
2. 10.000 islands, Laos (2010, dirt cheap) When you can rent out a cabin for a few dollars that gives the opportunity to jump from your bed straight into the Mekong river in the morning sunrise, you deserve a place in our top three.
3. Bomba Island, Indonesia (2007, dirt cheap) Although this place has the setting for a top dollar exclusive resort, the owner decided to build home-made artfull cabins and rent them out for backpackers prices. Ask about diving at Una una!
